The deadline for pre-registration of all ‘existing substances' is on 1 December 2008, so there is no time to waste!
If you miss the pre-registration deadline, you can market your substance only after you have gone through the full registration procedure.
In the pre-registration dossier you inform the European Chemicals Agency of the name and identifiers of your substance as well as the tonnage band and you may indicate similar structures if that may help to fill data gaps.
One month after the deadline, on January 2009, you can check whether your key substances have been pre-registered indeed. If not, you'll have to notify the Agency.
